Intern, STAR Program
Centennial | Littleton | Lone Tree

The Therapeutic Recreation Intern will assist with a variety of recreation and leisure programming within the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District. The intern will gain knowledge in the areas of Therapeutic Recreation program assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, management, marketing and customer service.

The STAR Program Intern is unpaid and typically works several weekends, some evenings, and occasional holiday hours.

Our Ideal Candidate
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and pursuing a degree in Therapeutic Recreation.
• Must have experience and knowledge of a variety of disabilities, program assessment, implementation and evaluation.
• Experience working with a variety of disabilities is preferred.
• CPR, First Aid, AED certifications are preferred.
