Maintenance Technician- Park District Full-Time
$35,600 - $43,670 Annually
Under the supervision of a Maintenance District Supervisor, the
Maintenance Technician is responsible for learning and performing the
various skills that are associated with accepted maintenance practices
for developed parks.
• Performs all cultural maintenance practices
inherent to maintaining irrigated turf grass parks including mowing
and trimming, aeration, fertilization, irrigation and

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age with a high
school diploma or equivalent.
• One (1) year skilled labor
experience that is inherent to park or related grounds maintenance
strongly preferred but not required.
• Must possess and maintain
a valid Driver’s License or the ability to obtain upon hire and
maintain an acceptable driving record.
Forty (40) hour work week, Monday through Friday. Hours are
typically 7am to 3:30pm daily; however, work hours may vary seasonally
or as needed to complete work. May be required to work weekends,
evenings, holidays, and be on snow watch as well as work shifts
deviating from this position's normal work days and/or with other work groups..
