Event Venue Representative at Hudson Gardens

Part Time 

$14.50 - $18.83

Position Summary

This position is the representative for Hudson Gardens during on-site events and is responsible for providing accurate information, excellent customer service to vendors, event attendees, patrons and staff. This is a part time, seasonal position requiring approximately 20-30 hours per week. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.  This is not an event planning position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Attending Event Manager training sessions to learn about each venue.
  • Demonstrating a thorough and comprehensive understanding of the services offered and venues at Hudson Gardens.
  • Opening and closing venues per event guidelines.
  • Directing vendors to designated areas.
  • Communicating with all parties to ensure the best possible event for the client.
  • Ensuring that Hudson Gardens fulfills all contractual obligations to clients.
  • Ensuring that all vendors follow and comply with Hudson Gardens policies and procedures.
  • Creates an atmosphere of hospitality through courteous, helpful, patient service to guests and visitors.
  • Ensures that vendors clean up and put away equipment at the end of the event.
  • Oversee the timing of the events.
  • Recognize emergency and dangerous situations by reacting quickly and calmly, administer first aid as needed.  Complete Accident/Incident reports.
  • Respond to public inquires in a courteous manner; provide information with in the area of assignment, resolve complains in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Correct of inform supervisor of any facility hazards, communicate issues/complaints to supervisor as needed.
  • Submits nightly reports for each event.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, trainings and orientations.
  • Attend work on a regular, reliable and punctual basis, sub for co-workers when available.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age.  
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must possess a valid Colorado Drivers License or obtain upon hire and maintain an acceptable driving record.

Work Environment

This position primarily takes place in a moderate to loud, noisy event venue. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 30 lbs.
